Woman arrested on suspicion of robbery and two men injured in Collins Road, Herne Bay

A woman has been arrested after armed officers, a police helicopter and fire engines were sent to a cul-de-sac.

Police were called to a reported robbery in Collins Road, Greenhill, on the outskirts of Herne Bay, at 9.30am today.

Paramedics also attended and two men were treated for injuries.

The woman, aged in her 20s, was arrested on suspicion of robbery and remains in custody.

Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding what happened are continuing.

Two fire engines were sent to the scene just after 10am and firefighters were seen spraying the road.

One resident told KentOnline: "I've lived here since 2002 and never seen anything like it."

Residents say a "bottle of liquid was seized" afterwards.

Officers were still in Collins Road this afternoon.
