WITH full specification details and prices now released and almost 700 orders already taken, the new Volvo XC90 is making a big impact on the premium Sport Utility Vehicle market.

This is even before it’s officially launched in October. The premium, standard specification for the XC90 D5 S (£28,400) and T6 S (£31,640) includes:

Upgrading to the XC90 D5 SE or T6 SE (£30,400 or £33,640 respectively) offers even more luxury:

• Leather upholstery

• In-dash 6 CD changer

• 18in ‘Atlantis’ alloy wheels

• Electric driver's seat (with memory)

• Real wood (or aluminium) inlays

In addition, for customers wanting a little bit more style or comfort, there is an interesting array of optional equipment, including:

• Bi-xenon headlights

• Dark tinted rear windows

• Rear seat headset sockets (x4)

• Laminated side windows

• Communications pack: Satellite navigation system, integrated GSM phone, Mini-disc player, and Premium Sound System with Dolby Pro Logic 11 Digital Surround Sound, 4x70W and 1 x25W amplifiers, and nine speakers.
