A2 coastbound between Bexley and Dartford Heath now reopen following three-vehicle crash

A person suffered serious head injuries following a multi-vehicle crash on a busy road.

Police officers and paramedics were called to the coastbound stretch of the A2 between the Black Prince Interchange, in Bexley, and Dartford Heath, at around 3pm.

At least three vehicles were involved in the accident and one person is said to have sustained serious head injuries.

Three out of four lanes were closed while the incident was attended to, but they have now reopened.

Traffic was queuing up to the Danson Interchange and there was heavy congestion through Bexley as motorists tried to avoid the closure.

The road was fully reopened shortly after 4pm.
