A major road closure has come into force to allow for resurfacing works.
The A2 is shut London-bound between the A28 for Canterbury and junction 7 of the M2 for Brenley Corner, near Faversham.
It will last across the weekend until the early hours of Monday morning.
The road is closed to allow for planned resurfacing works.
According to traffic monitoring site Inrix delays are to be expected and a diversion is in place via the A256, A253 and A299.
