Vandals have gone on the rampage spraying 13 cars with paint stripper.

Police in Ramsgate say owners reported boots, bonnets and door panels had been damaged by a corrosive material.

The attacks are believed to have taken place between Sunday lunchtime and 11am on Monday.

Damage has been estimated at nearly £12,500.

Det Sgt Marcus Whitnell, neighbourhood sergeant for Ramsgate and Broadstairs, said: “We want to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious during that time frame.

“Have you sold anyone unusually large quantities of paint stripper or have you noticed any containers missing from your garages or sheds?"

Contact Det Sgt Whitnell by calling Kent Police on 01622 690 690 and asking to be put through to him in Ramsgate.
