Love is in the air, but this lovebird is definitely barking
up the wrong tree.

But Jade the Red Masked Conure doesn’t seem to mind too much even
though his truelove Sam, is a Jack Russell.

It was love at first sight for the cheeky parrot, who can imitate
his owner’s laugh and asks passers-by if they would like a
“pee-pee”.

The pair first met when 75-year-old Pat Baker bought the dog at
five-and-a-half weeks old and even then, seven years ago, Jade
thought Sam was a pretty boy.

She said: “The minute I brought Sam in the bird was desperate to
get out of his cage.

“He never wanted to come out much before, but when he did he went
straight for Sam and they bonded right from the start."
