Band makes impression at Minster fayre

1st Minster Girls Brigade raised over £300 at their May Fayre.

Visitors to the fayre took part in treasure hunts, stalls and a raffle at Bethel Church Hall, Minster, last Saturday.

The money raised will go towards paying for days out and events for the brigade, as the girls are never asked to pay for their trips.

Music was provided by the Girls Brigade band, who were dressed in their new uniforms, which had been spruced up by the craft department.

Wendy Braby, Lieutenant of 1st Minster Girls, said: “It was lovely for us to see them in their new uniforms. We were very proud.”

The band will be taking part in a national competition for youth marching bands in Stoke-on-Trent on June 7.
