A daredevil who threw himself off a 110ft Channel Tunnel Rail Link bridge in the county has been fined £140 for trespassing.

Daniel Sherry, 29, of Kitchener Road, Strood, near Rochester admitted the offence when he appeared before Medway magistrates.

After the case, he said: "It was an expensive jump, but it’s not put me off. I’ll be doing it again."

The skydiver jumped from the Cuxton end of the high-speed Medway viaduct on April 16.

The jump lasted seconds and, thanks to his parachute, he survived unhurt.
