DETECTIVES have charged a 43-year-old man with the murder of a woman from Northfleet.

Tracey McCormick, 35, was stabbed to death in Downham Way, Bromley, on Monday.

Joshua Willis, of Ravenscar Road, Downham, appeared before Greenwich Magistrates Court on Wednesday accused of her murder and was remanded in cutody to appear at the Old Bailey, on Wednesday, September 28.

The victim died of stab wounds to the chest, a post mortem examination revealed.

The incident happened close to Grove Park railway station. She was taken to hospital but died of her injuries.
