Bus ticket prices to rise on Arriva routes in Kent

Bus ticket prices will rise across Kent.

Various return journeys will go up by 10p or 20p from next Sunday.

Arriva, the county's largest provider, says tariffs in Medway will not change.

Additionally a new 10-trip pass will be available for all areas except Medway.

It will allow travellers to buy 10 single tickets in advance.

Family Day and student prices will stay the same.

From Sunday, February 9, county-wide adult day passes will go up by 20p to £8 and by the same amount for £5.70 for children.

Day passes in Maidstone will now set you back £5.50 and £4.20 respectively, a rise of 10p.

Swale day passes will rise by 20p to £4.80 and £3.20.

In Tonbridge & Tunbridge Wells the cost will go up by 10p to £5.30 and £4.

Most child annual prices will stay the same but monthly and weekly costs will go up.

Adult saver tickets will also go up in price in a number of zones.

Sevenoaks is being scrapped.
