Two people were injured after a van and a car crashed on the A249.

Police, fire and ambulance were called to the accident spot at around 4.15pm Tuesday, following the smash on the Sittingbourne-bound carriageway, near the Three Squirrels pub.

The two injured were taken to hospital, but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police have warned of serious delays in the area as emergency services deal with the incident.
