CCTV footage of attempted knife robbery

Sorry, this video asset has been removed.

This is the CCTV footage that helped to jail a man who pulled a knife on shop staff.

Samuel Jeffrey, 23, of Holborough Road, Snodland, was jailed for two-and-a-half years after admitting assault with intent to rob, aggravated vehicle taking and having no insurance.

At first, Jeffery claimed he had was innocent and named another man as being responsible for the attempted robbery at the Kent Mart minimarket in Church Green.

But when CCTV film at the shop was checked, Jeffrey could be seen clearly with the knife in his hand.

Commenting after last week's sentencing, DC Wesley Marston, the investigating officer, said: "This is a great result and reflects the importance of high quality CCTV in identifying and detaining offenders."
