Margate drug bust: six arrested after 'class A drugs' and cash seized

Police who stormed a home in Margate seized around 700 packets of suspected cocaine and heroin and around £2,000 in cash.

Six people were arrested in connection with the alleged supply of class A drugs after officers including armed units were called to King Street yesterday morning.

They have since been released while the investigation continues.

A 45-year-old woman from Margate, a 27-year-old woman from Ashford, a 31-year-old man from Margate, a 26-year-old man from London, a 21-year-old man from London and a 16-year-old girl from Hertfordshire were all taken into custody.

A search of the area was also carried out, and armed units were called as a precaution.

A vehicle connected to the investigation was searched and the suspected class A drugs and money were found inside.
