Kent bowler Dewald Nel is leaving the club due to on-going injury problems.

The right-arm seamer joined the county in 2010, having made 18 one-day international and 10 t20 appearances for Scotland.

The highlight of his time with the club was taking 9-119 in the final Kent game of the 2010 LV=County Championship.

Nel said: “Having finished on such a high last year, I was really looking forward to this season.

"However, it is with great regret that I have decided to leave Kent due to an on-going back problem.

"I would like to thank everyone for their support during my time at Kent. I will hold fond memories of the Garden of England and I wish the club and its players a successful 2011 season.”
