Orpington’s Daniel Wray, 31, charged after two teenagers stabbed in Gravesend on New Year’s Day

A 31-year-old man has been charged following a double stabbing on New Year’s Day.

A 15-year-old boy and 18-year-old man were both allegedly assaulted at 3.15am on January 1 in Gravesend town centre, near to Harmer Street.

A man is alleged to have made threats towards them before he assaulted them. According to the police “they sustained injuries consistent with stab wounds”.

Both victims were taken to a London hospital and have since been released.

Daniel Wray, 31, of Winchester Road, Orpington, was arrested yesterday (Friday) in Dartford following a CCTV appeal by police.

He has now been charged with two counts of grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of cannabis.

His case has been sent to Maidstone Crown Court for plea and trial preparation on February 5.

A 28-year-old woman from Gravesend, also arrested in connection with the investigation, has been released on bail until April 3.
