A man has been airlifted to hospital after a one-car crash this morning.

The red Ford Fiesta overturned in Lenham Road, Platts Heath, near Maidstone, at 7.40am.

Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to cut the 23-year-old driver free from the wreckage.

He was taken by the Kent Air Ambulance to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford with suspected abdominal injuries.
