A truck driver has been arrested after his lorry was involved in a pile-up near the Dartford Tunnel today.

The multi-vehicle accident happened near the tunnel's toll booths at around 6.45am.

It caused long delays on the M25 throughout the morning and up to 16 miles of tailbacks.

Two large goods vehicles and four private vehicles were involved and two people were injured.

Kent Police have quizzed the driver of a foreign registered lorry after he was arrested at the scene.

All lanes have now re-opened but traffic going anti-clockwise is still queuing back to junction 4.
