Dumped dog put down to end her suffering

A STARVING dog found covered in tumours and dumped has had to be put down by the RSPCA.

The adult brindle boxer type cross breed dog was found on Friday in such a terrible condition that she was barely able to stand.

She was discovered at the Sheppey Plant Industrial Estate, Rushenden Road, Rushenden, Sheppey.

The RSPCA was called and Inspector Ray Bailey arrived and took the dog straight to a vet where she was immediately put to sleep to end her suffering.

Inspector Bailey said it was one of worst cases he had ever seen.

He said: "This poor dog was severely emaciated and had tumours all over her head, face and teeth. We would like to hear from whoever knows who it is who allowed her to get into this sorry state and then dumped her."

The dog was bleeding from her wounds and covered in pus.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the RSPCA in confidence on 0870 5555999.
