Lance Cronin has re-joined Ebbsfleet and will make his return to the side at Blue Square Bet Premier leaders Fleetwood on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper, released by Gillingham at the end of last season, has joined on a month's loan from Bristol Rovers as cover for Preston Edwards who faces a three-match ban after being sent off in the 3-2 win at Bath on Saturday.

Cronin (pictured) helped Fleet win the FA Trophy at Wembley in 2008, and Daish said: "He is a little bit down the pecking order at Rovers. I spoke to him today (Monday) and he is delighted to be coming back.

"I decided to leave Joe Welch on loan at Bromley where he has been doing well, while young Tom McNeil did great for the team when he went on at Bath. I recognise and appreciate what he did for us."

If Cronin plays against FLeetwood it will be his 200th game for the club, having left after making 199 appearances.
