Family's concern for missing man

KENT Police say they are concerned for the welfare of a missing 25-year-old man believed to be suffering from depression.

Arran Lee-Ayres left his home in College Road, Margate, at about 11am on Wednesday and he has not been seen since.

Mr Lee-Ayres who is married with two children, is approximately 5ft 2in tall and stocky. He is olive skinned, has shaven black hair and was last seen wearing a navy blue coat, blue jeans and black shoes.

He left home on Wednesday morning in his car, which is a white, J registration, Volkswagen Golf.

Mr Lee-Ayres is a well known figure among players and supporters of Thanet football leagues and referees Sunday morning games. Police hope this may jog people's memories if they have seen him over the last 24 hours or so.

Detective Inspector Nick Gossett said: “Arran’s family and friends are concerned about his disappearance, especially as he has recently been very depressed.

"He usually keeps in regular contact with the people closest to him and to go missing in this way is out of character.”

Sightings of Mr Lee-Ayres should be reported to the Thanet Police on (01843) 231055.
