Firefighters damp down at eight-pump warehouse blaze

Firefighting operations have been scaled down at a disused warehouse blaze in Dunton Green near Sevenoaks.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to the 100-metre building in Rye Lane shortly before 6pm on Thursday, where they found half of the former cold storage facility well alight.

At the height of the blaze eight appliances, two height vehicle and more than 50 firefighters were sent to the scene. No-one was trapped and no-one has been hurt.

KFRS operations at the site were scaled down at 2.30am today, with crews left to damp down hotspots. The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
