A teenage boy was seriously injured and three other youngsters also hurt when a car overturned on the A28 between Birchington and St Nicholas at Wade.

The crash happened at around 11.25pm Friday. The four people were all travelling in a Vauxhall Corsa, which was the only vehicle involved.

A police spokesman said the boy who was seriously injured was taken to the QEQM Hospital at Margate and is now in a stable condition.

The other three casualties were taken to the same hospital - but have all been allowed home. The road was closed until 6.25am Saturday.
