French driver speeds on M20 - at more than 120mph

A French teenager has been fined £3,000 after driving along a Kent motorway at more than 50mph over the speed limit.

Saman Khan, 18, was also banned from UK roads for two years after travelling in a BMW at between 122mph and 124mph on the M20.

Police said that Khan, a salesman from Paris, was caught speeding just before 9.20am on Sunday between junctions 11 and 9 on the London-bound carriageway.

Police patrol officers recorded how fast he was going and Khan was charged with dangerous driving and excess speed before being found guilty by magistrates at Dover. He was also ordered to take a driving course.
