Gillingham will find out their fixtures for the new League 2 season on Monday morning.

The Gills, who are still without a manager, will be challenging for promotion once more next season.

The Football League season kicks off on Saturday, August 18th and fans will find out who Gills kick off their season against at 9am on Monday.

Return here at that time to see the fixtures in full.

Gillingham will have be facing Blue Square Bet winners Fleetwood Town in competitive action for the first time.

York City, meanwhile, return to the Football League after an eight year absence. They beat Luton in the Blue Square Bet Premier play-off.

The Gills last met York in 1999, at Priestfield, with Carl Asaba, Bob Taylor and Guy Butters scoring in a 3-1 win.

Dropping down from League 1 into the Football League’s basement division for the 2012/13 season are Wycombe, Chesterfield, Exeter and Rochdale.

Rotherham, managed by former Crawley boss Steve Evans, have been installed as the pre-season favourites, while many are tipping Fleetwood to go straight up into League 1.

Favourites for the drop are Barnet, now managed by former Gills coach and one-time candidate for the manager’s job Mark Robson.
