With the Gills picking up several injuries in the last week boss Martin Allen has moved to bolster his ranks with a game against second placed Vale on the horizon.

Findley arrives at Gills on a month’s loan.

The move comes just a week after Allen announced there would be no more signings until January.

But with Charlie Lee, Jack Payne, Bradley Dack and Myles Weston all missing at present, Allen has added fresh blood to his squad.

Findley – born in Arizona - is a USA international front-man and played Major League Soccer in the States, appearing for LA Galaxy and Real Salt Lake.

He signed for Forest in December 2010 where he has since made 29 appearances. He has not played a first team game this season.

Findley goes straight into Gilingham’s team for the match at Vale and is expected to train with his new team-mates on Friday afternoon.
