Tickets for Gillingham's League 2 play-off final against Shrewsbury at Wembley on May 23 go on sale at the end of this week.

The Gills have been allocated 38,000 tickets and season ticket holders can buy them from 10am on Friday.

Tickets will then go on general sale from Saturday at 3pm.

A brace from Simeon Jackson earned Mark Stimson's side a 2-1 win over Rochdale on Sunday and booked their place at the home of football.

Shrewsbury beat Bury in a dramatic penalty shootout earlier the same day.

Promotion to League 1 would result in an estimated £1million for the club.

The Gills can expect around £100,000 from the two semi-final games with the final expected to net up to £500,000.

A season in League 1, including fixtures against Charlton, could bring in another £500,000, although club officials say that is dependent on attendances and sponsorship deals.
