POLICE are searching for two men who attempted to abduct a girl of 14 as she was on her way home.

The girl was in The Esplanade at Rochester at about 5.30pm on Monday when she was approached by a man who got out of a red car. He asked the girl if she wanted a lift home.

When she declined, the man grabbed her arm. The girl struggled free and ran off while the offender and his accomplice, another man who had been sitting in the passenger seat of the car, drove off towards Shorts Way.

The man who approached the girl is described as being in his late 20s to early 30s, slim with dark hair. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or Medway Police.
