A man was taken to hospital after a glass attack at a pub.

The 46-year-old victim received serious injuries to the back of his head and neck after he was involved in an incident with two men at the Rising Sun, in Cliffe Road, Kingsdown, last Wednesday.

It is believed that the two men were among a party that were drinking and eating at another pub close by, the Zetland Arms in Wellington Parade, where they refused to pay. Upon leaving the pub, they walked the short distance to the Rising Sun, where the attack happened at around 8.30pm.

The injured man, who has not been named, was taken by ambulance to the Queen Mother Hospital, Margate.

Now the police are appealing for witnesses of the incident. No arrests have been made.
