A 62-year-old man has been found guilty of murdering a schoolgirl whose remains were found at a house in Kent.

Peter Tobin will serve at least 30 years in jail after being convicted by a jury of killing 15-year-old Vicky Hamilton.

The teenager disappeared in Bathgate, West Lothian, on February 10, 1991 on her way home to Redding, near Falkirk.

Her body was discovered buried at a house in Margate in November last year.

Tobin denied abduction and murder charges, claiming he was in the Portsmouth area and travelling to Scotland when the schoolgirl vanished.
