Actress Joanna Lumley has met the Prime Minister to discuss plans to allow Gurkhas to remain in the UK.
Gordon Brown met Ms Lumley to discuss residency rights for Gurkhas.
Last week the Prime Minister faced public anger and suffered a Commons defeat over the issue.
Ms Lumley says the meeting was extremely positive, and the Prime Minister was supportive of the Gurkha cause.
