WHAT Car? magazine has awarded the Volvo V70 "Best Estate Car" for the third year running in its Car of the Year 2002 awards.

Steve Fowler, editor of What Car?, said: "In spite of some hot competition, the V70 wins again.

"When it came to checking off everything we were looking for in an estate, the answer was the Volvo V70. It's great to drive, good to own and there are a host of clever little touches that make you wonder why no-one else ever thought of them."

The V70 has won six other UK awards since its launch in 2000.
