BRITISH Superbike star Tommy Hill will be back on track at Brands Hatch this weekend when the World Superbike Championship arrives at the Kent circuit for the biggest event of the season.

Hill, who currently rides for the Virgin Media Yamaha team in the British Championship, will be lining up on the grid for the World Supersport race, deputising for injured Kevin Curtain in the SPP Yamaha squad.

The rider from Lingfield, Surrey, said: "I am going to give it my best shot. I have never raced in World Supersport before but I can't see any reason why I can't have a good result.

"All the riders in World Supersport are really close and the pace is going to be fast. Once I have got used to the bike hopefully I can run at the front."

Tickets are available to purchase on the gate for £45.
