VISIT: Michael Howard

THE leader of the Conservative party, Michael Howard, is due to visit police in Snodland, near Rochester, tomorrow (Friday).

Mr Howard is expected to arrive at 4pm for a half-hour visit to the police offices in the Town Hall in Waghorn Road.

A spokeswoman for Kent's Conservative group said: "The superintendent and various police officers are going to be there and Mr Howard will talk to them about their projects, how successful they have been and what any long-term problems are.

"As police work is something that is hugely important to local people it seemed a sensible thing to go and have a look at."
