Widespread rain is expected during the early hours of the morning and in some parts of the county it will be very heavy and could cause disruption and flooding.
Yellow weather warning issued for Kent
Today it should be mostly dry with some brighter or sunny spells, but the odd shower is possible along the coast.
However, later tonight there will be outbreaks of rain and it will turn breezy with rain spreading northeast.
The maximum temperature will be 20c.
Then at about 4am there will be further heavy, possibly torrential downpours spreading northeast at around dawn due to Hurricane Humberto heading towards the country.
Minimum temperatures overnight will be 14c.
Delays or cancellations to train and bus services are possible and spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions.
Some roads could close and there could also be possible power cuts to homes and businesses.
Heavy rain will be persistent in places, with the chance of torrential downpours throughout the morning.
This will later clear in the afternoon, with brighter spells, but there will also be isolated heavy showers to follow.
The maximum temperature tomorrow will be 20c.
The yellow warning area has been enlarged by forcasters to allow for more widespread intense rainfall and increased the level of flooding.
Spells of very heavy rain are expected to move northeastwards across much of the country.
The rain could be accompanied by thunderstorms, gusty winds and hail in places.
The heaviest is currently expected to fall between around 8am and noon tomorrow.
A spokesman for the Met Office said: "Whilst many areas will see some heavy rain with 15 to 30mm widely, some places may see up to 70mm, much of this in a relatively short space of time, typically less than six hours.
"Thunder and lightning is also possible along with strong gusty winds."
From Wednesday there will be strong overnight winds and more heavy showers, clearing later with brighter spells and some showers.
Thursday should be mainly dry, but turning cloudier later with rain possible overnight.
Sunshine and heavy showers also follow on Friday.
