Inquest opens on man found dead on Wye railway line

An inquest has opened into the death of a man whose body was found on a railway line at Wye.

Coroner's officer David Lewis said that Colin Peters, 44, was confirmed dead at the scene, just north of the village station, by paramedics early on Saturday morning.

A post mortem examination confirmed that he had died from multiple injuries.

Mr Peers was an unemployed gardener from Abbots Walk, Wye, coroner Rachel Redman was told.

The inquest was adjourned for a date to be confirmed.
