Jams after five-vehicle crash

AN ACCIDENT involving four cars and a motorbike caused major delays for rush-hour traffic around Bexley and Crayford this morning.

The accident took place shortly after 7am on the east-bound stretch of the A2 near the Black Prince interchange.

Traffic delays were worsened by lanes on the M25 still being closed following a furniture store fire in Thurrock on Sunday which created major delays for traffic using the Dartford River Crossing.

Police said there were no reports of serious injuries.
