More on KentOnline
This week’s Kent Politics Podcast features hundreds of potential job losses at KCC, wine wars and a visiting top Tory.
Available now, the show also features an interview with former army officer and author Mike Martin who’s standing for the Liberal Democrats in the general election.
The weekly podcast, which launched last week, brings together local democracy reporters, Simon Finlay, Robert Boddy, Dan Esson and KM Media Group political editor Paul Francis.
Simon, who covers Kent County Council, will lead the discussions with contributions from Robert, who reports on Medway Council, and Dan, whose speciality is borough and district councils.
Paul will be bringing his weekly Westminster Watch review – highlighting what’s happening in parliament and how it affects the county.
Mr Martin, who will be contesting Tunbridge Wells, spoke about his chances of winning and how to tackle immigration.
Next week, we hope to welcome Folkestone and Hythe council leader Jim Martin.
You can listen to the podcast at IM Listening, or download it from Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts and TuneIn – just search for Kent Politics Podcast. New episodes are available each Friday.
It is the latest move to increase KentOnline’s political coverage ahead of a general election likely to be held later this year.
In recent months we also launched bespoke sections on KentOnline highlighting Kent Politics and Medway Politics.
Added to this is the highly-respected Kent Politics Show which airs on KMTV each Friday evening.
