Kent Spitfires will field their strongest available side when they begin their final NatWest Pro40 League Division 2 campaign against Glamorgan Dragons at the SWALEC Stadium in Cardiff on Tuesday.

The competition is being scrapped at the end of the summer after 41 seasons, but Kent have resisted the temptation to rest key players, and will use the game as a major part of their preparations for the Twenty20 Cup quarter-final against Durham Dynamos at Canterbury on Monday.

Azhar Mahmood (pictured) comes in to replace Amjad Khan, the only change from the team that beat the Welshmen by an innings and 45 runs to go top of the LV County Championship Division 2 on Saturday. James Hockley has been added to the squad as cover.

Coach Graham Ford said: "The game is an ideal opportunity to make sure our white ball skills are really working well ahead of the game against Durham."

Kent will have one eye on the weather, with heavy rain forecast for most of the day in South Wales. The game, which is being screened on Sky TV starts at 4.40pm.
