James Tredwell has been included in the England squad of 15 for the World Cup which starts in India next month.

The 28-year old Kent bowler has been named as the third spinner together with Graeme Swann and Michael Yardy, but could get his chance to impress the England selectors as Swann is ruled out of at least the next three one-day internationals against Australia with a swollen knee.

Tredwell (pictured), who took six wickets in his only Test match appearance for England, has yet to take a one-day international wicket in two appearances after making his debut against Bangladesh in March, 2010.

The big surprise is the inclusion of wicketkeeper Matt Prior, ahead of Steven Davies of Surrey and Craig Kieswetter of Somerset, having not played a one-day international for 10 months.
