BBC Radio Kent continue to struggle since networking some of their programmes losing almost 13,000 weekly listeners (now 114,300) and 159,000 hours (now 448,400) marking the lowest numbers in over two decades.

Meanwhile, BBC Radio 1 increased their listeners to 191,000 and hours to 1.055 and Greatest Hits Radio enjoying the Ken Bruce effect increasing their listeners by 27% and doubling their hours.

kmfm still retains its locality with all shows, news and travel produced and broadcast in Kent and every winner you hear will be from a town in the county.

Rob and Numi said: “We are excited to be bringing the new sound to Getting You Home at a time where we are celebrating being number one.

“As listeners to the radio, growing up listening to local radio, we know that people still care about where they live, want to know why they are stuck in traffic and need a laugh and a sing along whilst on their drive home - we are here for that!”
