M25 delays after lorry overturns on slip road to A21 leaving man trapped in HGV

Commuters have been suffering delays after a lorry overturned on the A21 this afternoon.

The HGV was involved in a serious crash near junction five of the anti-clockwise M25 carriageway at about 3.30pm.

The air ambulance attended the scene and fire crews freed a man trapped in the lorry.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said three fire engines, paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Police officers were called at about 3.30pm.

A spokesman said one man was found trapped and firefighters used hyrdaulic rescue equipment to free him so paramedics could treat the casualty.

His condition is not known.

A diversion was put in place via junction four of the M25 and back to junction five.
