A MAN who brutally stabbed his ex-partner to death has been sentenced to life imprisonment.

Joshua Willis, 44, murdered Tracey McCormick, the mother of his two children, in a frenzied attack.

Unemployed Willis, of Ravenscar Road, Bromley, who pleaded guilty to murder in May, was ordered to serve a minimum term of 16 years.

He broke one of two seven-inch kitchen knives as he stabbed the 35-year-old mum 30 times while she sat in the driver’s seat of her car.

He then pulled her from her car and continued his attack as she lay on the road until the second of the knives broke, leaving the blade embedded in her chest.

Miss McCormick, who had four children, had moved to Northfleet from Welling a few months before her murder, last September, a few hundred yards from the busy Grove Park railway station, in south east London.
