A 21-year-old man today denied attacking a man in Gillingham at the weekend.

Ruben White, of Kingswood Road, Gillingham appeared before Medway magistrates charged with grievous bodily harm.

Three other men arrested in connection with the incident have been bailed pending further investigation.

A fourth man has been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Gillingham.

It comes after officers were called to Balmoral Road at 8.20am on Saturday to find a 35-year-old man had been assaulted.

The victim remains in intensive care at Medway Maritime suffering from head injuries.
