Man's hand severed in freak accident

Air Ambulance crews made frantic efforts to save a man’s hand, after he accidentally cut it off with an electric saw.

The accident happened yesterday while the man was working in the Darenth Valley, near Dartford.

Kent Air Ambulance Crews who were on the scene in eight minutes from their Marden base airlifted the man to hospital.

His severed right hand was found, wrapped and placed on ice. He is now undergoing specialist at the Royal London Hospital.
