Members and supporters to vote for design of new Kent County Cricket Club mascot

Kent County Cricket Club is giving members and supporters the chance to vote for the design of the new mascot.

The club has produced two new designs - a horse and a pilot - in association with the Deeson Group.

Kent chief executive Jamie Clifford said: “We feel the time is right to ‘retire’ Bomber. His success in the 2007 Mascot Steeplechase will not be forgotten but his magnificent service has taken its toll so now is the right time to hang up his oversized shoes (wheels).

"We want our young members and supporters to pick the winning design from the two options.

Both line up well with the history of Kent Cricket. The fighter pilot continues the Spitfire theme whilst the other proudly shows off the Invicta Horse in all its glory.

"We are thrilled with the design work of the Deeson Group and now want the children of Kent to select their new hero.”

Members and supporters can vote online at www.kentcricket.co.uk. Full details can be found on the homepage.
