Missing Louise: Family may engage private eye

THE family of missing Broadstairs nurse Louise Kerton is considering hiring a private detective in a bid to find her. Louise, 24, vanished in July while visiting her fiancé in Germany. She was last seen at Aachen station waiting for a train to Ostende.

Louise’s family has been concentrating their search on Aachen. Her details are featured on the town’s website, and two Germans have contacted National Missing Persons Helpline, saying they have seen Louise, most recently on Sunday, September 23.

Louise’s father Phil, of Longfield, near Gravesend, says Louise’s plight highlights the danger of travelling, even close to home in Europe. He said: ”People should be aware the international police liaison for missing people is so poor and so slow.”

The family plan to return to Aachen at the end of the month if Louise is not found sooner.
