Mum's appeal to knife tragedy family

GRIEF-RAVAGED mum Zanya Lumpkin will this week visit her oldest son Louis in prison for the killing of his brother Gary.

It will be the first time the 46-year-old woman has seen Louis, 28, since he inflicted fatal stab wounds upon his brother, 26, at her Cliftonville home in February.

Mrs Lumpkin admits she had subsequently hated Louis untl she saw him in court last week where he was jailed for two years for manslaughter. He had denied murder.

Upon seeing each other, they had both cried. He had said across the courtroom “I love you mum” and as she recognised he was truly sorry, she was at last able to forgive him.

She has appealed to the family’s circle of friends and relatives for fogiveness and understanding so they can all move on.
