A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a woman in Peru.

The man, who is in his 40s and from north Kent, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.

Kent Police worked with officers from the Metropolitan Police Service to carry out the arrest in London. He was taken in to custody in Folkestone.

Officers are working closely with the Peruvian authorities as part of this investigation.
