New Seat is winner in fuel stakes

SEAT is making it even easier for drivers to buy an Arosa 1.0 with the new price of £5,995 on the current model.

The Arosa 1.0 offers driver’s airbag, power steering, stereo radio/cassette, height adjustable steering column and front head restraints, along with colour-coded bumpers, parcel shelf, rear headrests, split folding rear seats and funky wheel covers.

Complementing the equipment level is a 50 bhp 1.0-litre engine linked to a five-speed gearbox, with a top speed of 94 mph, while still offering good fuel consumption of 48.7 mpg. And an insurance rating of just 2.

According to Seat, fleet management experts at Emmox Carcost have declared that the Arosa 1.0’s fuel economy, low insurance and maintenance costs and strong residual value make it the cheapest car to run in the UK on a pence per mile basis.

The Arosa 1.0 is available in five colours: Bola Green, Canica Blue, Flash Red, Yo-Yo Yellow and Arctic Grey. The price tag of £5,995 is on the road, and also includes delivery to the dealer, number plates, 12-months road fund licence and new registration fee, as well as VAT calculated at 17.5 per cent.

Also included is a three year/60,000 mile warranty, 12-year anti corrosion warranty and three years Seat Assistance, roadside assistance and recovery.
