AJ managed to save the day on Tuesday with a brilliant, brilliant save to deny Brighton and give us a vital point.

The game started badly for us as Brighton took the lead from a corner to give them a goal start.

However, we had the better of things after that setback and could have easily been level at the break. It wasn’t to be though and we went in a goal down.

Again we came out fighting second half and got back in it after a great finish from Adam.

We continued to press but had to be wary of being hit on the break. They had a couple of chances because we were going all-out for the win.

Just after we hit the post, when we all thought Dicko had scored, they got a penalty and we lost Josh to a sending-off.

We now face a test of our squad on Saturday as we’ll be missing Josh and Garry and maybe big Darren. I know the boys stepping in can more than rise to the challenge and keep us where we want to be.

Before the Brighton game we had gone into the weekend with a strong belief we could go to Millwall and turn them over.

We prepared well and we were doing okay but then Millwall broke from midfield and slid a ball through for their striker to give them the lead.

If we had managed to keep it like that until half-time then we would have had a chance to regroup and attack the second half.

But Millwall scored a great goal that made it 2-0 and gave us a big ask to get anything from the game.

That goal, coupled with the fact that we lost both centre-backs to injury, made the second half difficult for us.

The next goal was important and after Millwall got it we had a long way back and we couldn’t manage it. Millwall added a fourth from a corner was disappointing.

The point on Tuesday, though, takes us into the big game against Leeds with something to build on.

With our home form we know we can upset them and take another step towards safety.
